Daughter in-law asked for help

My son has been married for ten years.

 He and his wife lived about six hours away, and decided to move back to be closer to family.

They had been trying to have children for over a year.

After moving back closer to home, they found out that my sons sperm count was low and more likely the problem.

They had looked into a sperm donor clinic, also adopting.

 That when on a weekend, my son had gone away with friends for a guys weekend golfing.

My daughter in-law called and asked if I could come over, she wanted to talk to me about something.

 I went over to their house, we went out on the deck.

After several cocktails, my daughter in-law finally said she had enough courage to ask me.

She began talking about the difficulties trying to get pregnant, the options they had.

But none of they were, what they really wanted.

They wanted a child of their own.

 Then she went on, asking if I would be willing to donate my sperm.

She said at least, the baby would look like her, or my son.

 I asked how dose that work at the sperm clinic.

She said, it’s seems like a very cold, clinic way to do it.

That she was wondering if I would donate my sperm, to her personal.

I asked what she meant, she said by having sex with her.

I was surprised, caught off guard, didn’t know how to respond.

She kept talking about, genetics, this and that.

She said she always felt comfortable, trusting, respected by me.

I started thinking about the times I had fantasized about her.

I asked her what my son thought about this, she said he didn’t know.

She didn’t think he should know, that she would hope that he would think by some small chance the baby was his.
